For the years we've been riding to this destination, it seems it most always snows. Fonz rode home in tracking snow one year. He was the only one who rode that winter. This year it was bitter cold for the ride there and home. The forecast was for a high temperature in the 50s for the next day, Monday. No snow was predicted or seen on our ride over. But when we came out of lunch, it was snowing.

Fortunately, the road was just wet. The snow built up on us, our jackets, face shields and windshields. Pogy was leading and we motored through the storm. It was cold and grim. There were a few testy moments, especially through some construction and over some tar snakes. Amazingly, it snowed only in Pennsylvania. As we broke onto I-287 the snow disappeared. Heck, the roads were dry, bone dry. It hadn't snowed at all there.

Fonz was waiting for us when we arrived. He'd ridden over extra early and departed right after sign-in to beat back home.

Despite the weather it was a nice ride. It is a wonderful destination. They have a special Polar Bear menu. It's a cool, rustic, historic old inn. The service was good and the food tasty.

Yeah, that's snow on my seat.
